(More customer reviews)I bought this book because I am looking to convert the attic on my home. I was looking for a book to give details about the construction and planning. I was greatly dissapointed in the lack of information provided in this book. First of all, it's written for people in Europe, primarily England, so be prepared to convert metric to standard if you live in the United States. The tips for building codes and general practices are also for Europeans and are quite inadequate for the U.S. ( and probably for Europe as well). The instructions and diagrams which show construction techniques are abominable. I found almost nothing of use in this book. If you are looking for help to plan and convert an attic, this book should be left on the shelf. You will find much more pertinent information by spending a couple of hours on the internet.
