Quik Drive QD2000SDS 1-1/2" - 3" Self Feed Screwgun Review

Bought this screw gun to screw down subflooring on a house addition. Thought it would make a multiple day job on my knees , a one day job standing up. When it worked, the screw gun was great. Drove most screws flush. But it would soon start to strip screws and not drive them all the way in. I figured out that the bits were getting worn fast. As soon at the bit became worn, it wouldn't drive the screws all the way. Each box of screws comes with 2 bits, but that's not enough to even drive half a box - and the bits are small (special) not the standard 1/4 inch hex bits and hard to change out. I would recommend buying a couple of packs of bits for each box of screws you buy. I've got a drywall job coming up and I'll give it another chance, but right now I really wish I hadn't purchased this tool.

The DS275-18 deserves 4 1/2 stars. I do not agree in giving a low rating just because a tool "isn't for you". If the tool performs as the manufacturer intended, then rate it for its purpose, not your feelings.
I used the DS275-18 unit to install 5/8" drywall and it performed very well. I'm not sure the batteries would hold up long enough to use the unit continuously all day as a wall board hanger would do. Extra batteries would over ride that concern. For the occasional handyman / remodeler, I would say you should be pleased with this screw gun.
I enjoyed using it to install 1/2" cement board in a bathroom and kitchen floor before tiling. It really saved a lot of time. Using 2" galvanized decking screws, I was able to screw in 12 sheets of 3 x 5 with 4" to 6" spacing before both batteries were exhausted. The unit worked VERY well. I messed up on a few screws because I angled the unit; I just followed up with a regular screw gun to correct the problem. Also keep the regular screw gun handy to back out any misplaced screws. Even thou the unit has reverse, it is not designed to go back and extract screws. The mechanism will advance another screw and time will be lost while you try doing so.
My only concerns with this unit are the battery charge time and it does not allow for an extension so you can stand straight up. The batteries lasted long enough for the 12 sheets, but the charging time seemed extensive. I took an early lunch and had at least one battery completely charged. If it had an extension handle accessory, my bending over while using the unit, would no longer be an issue. If your young and less than 6' tall, you may not care about the extension.
My DS275-18 was stolen about a month ago, because of the battery and extension issue; I will replace it with a DS300-S4. When I receive that unit, I will give it a review.

Milwaukee 6740-20 6.5 Amp Screwdriver Review

...This Milwaukee driver is perfect! If you are looking for real power, this is the driver! Hit the trigger, and it will almost twist your wrist. A very versatile tool, it will dimple drywall with zero damage, yet drive a screw (3 1/2") into 75+ year old studs without hesitation. The adjustment is able to change drop-off depths by 1/64". Once you set it up, it never changes. Changing bits is easy, too. The whole nose snaps off to change bits, and you don't lose your adjustment. This is one of my favorite features since my former drywall gun nose piece had to be screwed off to change bits, then readjusted. I was a little concerned about the low max RPM (2500 RPM). (Must be a guy thing!) This is more than enough speed. The trigger is very sensitive to pressure, so speed can be regulated easy. As usual, Milwaukee Tools are the best! The only drawback was delivery, not the tool. I ordered it on June 28th, and received it August 9th. Order it before you need it ...
